A Mental Health Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

The Removing da Kink in my Mind Event: A Black Mental Health Event that I co-organized alongside my colleague David Grant in 2023, founder of Global Mind Emancipation.It was a fruitful in-person conversation where we discussed depression, suicide and the importance of self-care during Black History month.

Are you a undergraduate student? Are you in Year 1-4 of your program in an accredited college or university in Canada? Do you have a passion and aspiration to helping Black people in the mental health field in Canada specifically? Balance Self-care and Global Mind Emancipation two respective mental health businesses dedicated to advocating for and improving the way mental health care is provided to Black people of African descent.
The 1 selected winners will each receive $500. Please check out the application here.
This competition is for:
1. Black DOMESTIC and INTERNATIONAL students
2. Currently in year 1-4 of a college or university program
3. Have plans to pursue the mental health field as part of their respective program
The competition ends at the end of the day (11:59pm) on October 1st 2024.
Winners will be announced October 15 2024.
